It's too late

It's too late.

I walk with a steady pace,
The guilt shows on my face,
Though I now regret my deeds,
It's too late.

I erupted like an active volcano,
I should have controlled myself better, now I know,
Though I now repent for my deeds,
It's too late.

She'll never be my friend again,
That's for sure.
She'll never turn to e again,
I know it's true, for

It's too late.

I could have apologized,
But I hung on to my pride,
I wanted to explain, but
It's too late.

All those times I could have made up,
But never made an honest effort,
I should have explained, but
It's too late.

She'll never talk to me again,
It's my own loss,
She'll never look at me again,
I know it's true, because

It's too late.

Years have passed since that day,
And she went to a place, far, far, away,
Tears fill my eyes because

It was too late.
